Art Director Chris Petescia recently accepted a teaching position at his alma mater, Rochester Institute of Technology. Chris will be the newest addition to the RIT Graphic Design Department as an adjunct professor working specifically with graduate students. This semester he will be instructing courses in Graphical User Interface. Chris hopes to bring his stand-out work ethic, innovative design methods and real-world experience with interactive media to the classroom in an effort to perpetuate the next wave of graphically innovative minds into the business world.

We are so proud of Chris to be giving back to the world of academia early in his professional career.

Carrot Creative is expanding it’s presence across the country!

Coming this fall, Carrot will be opening an office in Rochester, NY. This office will be the first major presence for Carrot in the great state of New York. This location will function as the primary operations hub for Art Director and newly appointed RIT professor Chris Petescia, although he will be making frequent visits to the CT offices. We intend on the Rochester office to also serve as the breeding ground for the future graphic minds and eyes of Carrot Creative.

We recently completed identity design for Taste of Jamaica, located in Hamden, CT, as part of our monthly New Business and Community Development Initiative. Each month, Carrot Creative will offer its services to a local business in order to bolster the success of our community members. For Taste of Jamaica, we created a logo that is sure to attract both Jamaican food aficionados and first timers alike.

Everyone at Carrot would like to wish Taste of Jamaica the best of luck with their new endeavor. And if you are in the Hamden area, take a trip down to Taste of Jamaica at 1012-1014 Dixwell Avenue.

This past weekend marked the annual Carrot Summer Extravaganza. This year we were fortunate enough to make the Dave Matthews Band Concert in CT our location for summer fun. The entire crew had a great time tailgating outside the New England Dodge Center in the afternoon, and an even better time inside the arena jamming out to the greatest songs of the DMB catalogue. Some of the braver carrot crew members went to the show on Sunday as well.

Although most everyone was in awe of the show, I have to admit that my favorite moment of the weekend was seeing Carrot’s Co-Founder Chris Petescia’s design on the DMB tickets.
