    Rock You

Everyone at Carrot would like to thank Rock You’s VP Ro Choy for taking time out of his busy schedule and meeting with us for drinks last night. With a Sierra Nevada in one hand and using the other to describe viral enginnering it was a nice way to discuss something we are passionate about with someone who is managing the team that is paving the way for social applications and community development. We at Carrot plan on using Rock You’s Ad Platform on our next application comming out January 1st called … like I’m really going to tell you right now. Stay tuned!

I would like to thank the folks at Mashable and our good friends at PMBuzz.com for hosting the first Mash Meet Up in NYC. The event was a great networking opportunity for all us Web 2.0 nerds, I mean professionals, and I would encourage anyone, be it a newcomer or season veteran in the Web 2.0 world, to attend a Mash Meet Up in the nearest coordinating city. The Mash Meet Up was the perfect cap to my week of conferences, and was the most beneficial of all the events this week.

    Ad:Tech

This week, I attended AD:Tech 2007 in New York City. I, along with the rest of the Carrot Crew, was interested to see how the advertising and marketing industries are responding to the emergence and progression of Web 2.0 tools. And although I was unable to attend the entire week’s worth of events, my overall impression of the conference is that the advertising and marketing industries still do not “get it” when it comes to Social Media.

    nyc facbook developers garage

Wednesday evening I had the opportunity to attended Facebook Developer Garage in NYC with Jason Beckerman and Mike Radparvar. As part of a global effort to link Facebook-minded business professionals with developers, the event was held at Daylife.com’s new headquarters. A huge thank you goes out to DayLife for providing a great venue for the event. If you would like to keep track of future Facebook Developer Garage events, and you are in the tri-state area, check out the Facebook Developer Garage Group.
