About Carrot Blog
>carrot blog is the collective writing repository for the staff of >carrot creative, a New-Media Marketing agency located in DUMBO, Brooklyn, NY. We will discuss a wide-range of Web 2.0 issues, ranging from social-media innovations and cutting-edge branding initiatives, to technology news and company news—so our families and friends have something to gossip about at dinner parties. We’re the definitive experts in the world of social-media, user-experience design, and brand defense strategies which enable firms to effectively compete in the always-on, ever-connected, social-media age.
Cream of the Crop
Back in the early years of the Internet phenomena, better known as the 90’s, there existed a small group of eager adolescents who continued to unleash the full potential of the Internet. There was: the young computer genius who networked all of the school’s computers for the purpose of massive file sharing, the enthusiastic entrepreneur who bought and sold stocks vigorously online until he had made a small fortune by the age of fourteen, and of course there were the bosom buddies who continually created large web communities for the sole purpose of enhancing their peers’ opportunities to exchange ideas and further engage in the local community. These descriptions, well nameless and archetypal, beg the question “Where are they now?”
Four of these young Internet pioneers started Carrot Web Design in 2004.
In our youth, we voluntarily dedicated endless hours unleashing new landscapes in the creative, social and enterprising aspects of the Internet. Our foresight, with charm and good looks to match, awarded us enrollment at top-tier universities across the country, where we earned even more experience with interactive media through freelance work and collegiate studies. In four short years, we earned a vast amount of professional experience, received diplomas, and quickly embarked on the endeavor of making a significant contribution to the evolving landscape of the Internet by combining our talent and energy into one entity—Carrot Web Design.
In a few short years, we have grown beyond website creation and design to frontiers in Web 2.0 and New Media Marketing. Such endeavors have led to the creation of Carrot Creative, Carrot Labs and Zoo Venture Group. We currently have offices in Connecticut, New York and Florida.

Our Roots Define Us
To be a client of Carrot Creative, and to know our staff, is to be a part of our family. Our clients are the second cousins we always wanted to hang out with at family reunions. All jokes aside, we accept new clients that will offer meaningful business relationships because we strive to be deeply invested in the success of our clients beyond the work we do with them. This same commitment is often the force that gets us through all-nighters (along with binges of coffee, Red Bull and Pizza) as we serve our clients and the Internet community.
We are also committed to our local communities. In our spare time, what little of it there is, we are: little league coaches, environmental volunteers, beauty pageant judges, actors, teachers, social change advocates, weekend warrior athletes and one elected official. In an age where online community is relied upon heavily, we have always found it necessary to engage our physical communities for the betterment of our own neighborhoods and world wide web alike.
Our success has come only with the success of our family and community, thus we are forever thankful for you.
