I will be attending the Numenta HTM Workshop in Palo Alto, CA this June! The workshop explores Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM) and the Numenta Platform for Intelligent Computing (NuPIC). Carrot Engineering + Google Appengine
I attended the Google Appengine Hackathon yesterday and was quite impressed with appengine as a platform for developing web applications. Some of the benefits our engineering crew will appreciate are: python is much lovelier than php, the development environment is quite simple, and deployment is a breeze. Say goodbye to Apache. Just got out of the facebook developer garage here at sxsw. The conference has been pretty amazing so far, I’ve met a lot of great people, and heard a lot of great ideas. When I was a senior at UPenn some of my friends informed me that people do other things than consulting, i-banking, and graduate school after college. As a philosophy undergrad, I had resigned myself to the last of these, but the entrepreneurship thing sounded much more exciting; I have always been very competitive and–ah–persistent.
