    Mike makes the impossible happen every day, starting with a 2005 political campaign that made him one of the youngest elected officials in the country. Nowadays, as one of the co-founders of Carrot Creative, he makes sure the gospel of Carrot is spread far and wide by speaking on social and digital trends world wide. At Carrot he has worked with companies such as MTV, Budweiser, Ford and Burton. He also acts as the social media advisor to the NFL. BWB4 hosted by Bloomberg Sports

    I’m not afraid to say that Blogs with Balls is my favorite conference — and I’m sure you can guess why. The founders are amazing, the panelists always blow me away, and the conferences are held in the coolest locations with the best after parties. This year it will be back in New York at one of the most spectacular corporate offices in the country — Bloomberg Global Headquarters. Blogs with Balls (BWB) is the leading sports new media event series… Continue Reading

    An Inspired Surprise from Our Biggest Fans Yet

    Back in September, I was invited to speak to a former Carrot’s class at Syracuse University. We all know I never miss an opportunity to speak about Carrot Creative, inspire young, impressionable minds, and comb for talent, so I hopped on a prop plane bound for ‘Cuse. I was ecstatic to find that the students seemed to really get what I was saying. Carrot Creative has worked hard to create the kind of culture we boast today. We manage this… Continue Reading

    Do You Have an App for That?

    Last week, I was in Las Vegas for CES, the major, mind-blowing trade show centered around consumer electronics. Besides going for the barrage of product previews and launches, I was asked to speak on two panels to share my expertise on mobile apps: “Apps, Apps Everywhere” (moderated by Veronica Belmont) and “Do You Have an App for That?” in Kodak’s K-Zone. The “Apps, Apps Everywhere” panel happened on Thursday morning and we touched on several key points that were very… Continue Reading

    The Bearded Rookie; Welcome Adam Katzenback

    We’ve effectively crossed off three things from the Carrot’s needs list, all with the hiring of one very bright man. First, we’ve fulfilled our beard quota.  It’s not that we Carrot men can’t grow facial hair (on the contrary; last year we raised over $600 sprouting mustaches to knock out cancer)…it’s just that many of us can’t quite pull the look off without resembling a  mythic beast of the northern woods. Second, we kept our promise to continue hiring people… Continue Reading

    A new addition from Down Under

    Some exciting news on the next Kick Ass addition to the Carrot Creative team. Jacob Cass will be joining Carrot Creative in the beginning of 2010. As he describes on his website, he’s a self-employed graphic designer, specializing in the fields of corporate identity (logo) design, web design, print design and branding with the majority of his time spent designing and implementing marketing promotions for small businesses such as logos, websites, brochures, letterhead, business cards and more. But really, who… Continue Reading

    I Hope They Serve Beer for Awesome Work

    We have a new client to announce here at Carrot Creative. A client that is as passionate about what he does with his own work as we are with ours. A client that knows how to push boundaries and test limits without question. Sounds like a dream client right? This mystery client is Tucker Max. We’ll be building a fully integrated website and digital strategy for his upcoming feature film, “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell” based off of… Continue Reading

    Speaking at the Facebook Developer Garage

    Last night I had the pleasure of speaking at the Facebook Developer Garage hosted at The Sullivan Room. This meant a lot to me as I had spoken at the very first Garage here in New York two years ago hyping up the newly developed The Lotto application that we had built and wanted to meet with the up and comers. In fact, it’s where I met a former Carrot employee and one of my closest friends today. Last night,… Continue Reading

    @Brand @Fail @What?

    We’ve read about it all week. The uproar of Twitter users complaining publicly about the recent change by Twitter to replies. The public apology from Twitter. The questions. Yes We Get It. But, what affects us here at >carrot creative the most—explaining this to the brands. The brands that we JUST signed up to jump into Twitter because frankly, tweeting their name is a great way to get exposure, share links, engage—you know the deal. We’ve signed them on because… Continue Reading

    We're helping Stamp Out Hunger-You should too!

    We’re all for charity and helping out great causes here at Carrot Creative and being able to work with them as part of our day to day makes it even better. We’ve had the pleasure of working on a campaign with Campbell Soup Company who will join forces on May 9th with the National Association of Letter Carriers to Stamp Out Hunger!™ across America in order to provide assistance to the one in eight Americans who struggle with hunger. Stamp… Continue Reading
