>carrotHQ is buzzing this afternoon after the launch of our latest social media venture: Facebook FanPages for JCPenney’s hot new Decree clothing line, and their Get That Look back to school campaign. This project allowed us to leverage our vast array of multimedia capabilities and apply it to a rapidly growing format. From a branding standpoint, this takes JCPenney into an entirely new arena: giving young women the opportunity to rally around a clothing brand targeted directly toward them right from the inception. JCPenney can use the discussions that place in and around their new Facebook home and translate that directly into incremental product improvements at a faster pace then ever before.
In short, >carrot is providing one the most trusted names in retail with the tools to compete in the ultra-competitive modern e-tail environment. It’s what we do best, looking out for the latest and greatest ways to help our clients reach their customers in novel and innovative ways.
Half the staff here at Carrot are quite “into” Twitter. The other half, not so much. @mikegermano made a tweet about the addictive nature of Twitter that caused an interesting discussion and the start to a big blog post comparing Twitter to cigarettes. While we work on the article we just wanted to have a visual of some Twitter brand smokes…
Branding is a critical component of any product’s or organization’s public perception. As the new brand manager for Carrot Creative I, Maury Postal, do hereby solemnly swear to do everything in my power to develop and maintain the most strategic, dynamic, and memorable brands in the world.
As a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with degrees in Graphic Design and Marketing, I bring to Carrot the diverse background required to elevate every brand in our portfolio to superstar status. Stay tuned to this space in the coming weeks for some exciting developments in Carrot’s new strategic branding platform.
They say color breeds creativity. I’m not quite sure who “they” are, but I do know that this weekend marked the beginning of making the Carrot Creative Brooklyn Headquarters one of the most creative spaces in New York City. Saturday and Sunday were spent splashing Carrot green all around the office. We even got the girlfriends to pitch in, which we can not thank them enough for. And while this is only the first step in making this new office space our own, we are pumped to have more weekends invested in creating a new Carrot Creative home. Check out our Flickr to see the end result of the painting extravaganza.
As my first post to the Carrot blog, it is with great pride that I would like to confess my geekdom. I, Kyle MacDonald am a large geek. And as said geek- I love geeky new stuff, and Carrot Blog’s new iPhone + iPod Touch Bookmarklet Icon is no exception.
As of today, our blog now sports its nifty new Bookmarklet Icon when saved as a bookmark on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Don’t worry if you don’t have either of those yet, (which our icon may finally make it worth buying) I will share with you our lovely new addition. Isn’t she shiny?
Well since Chris doesn’t want to brag about this project I guess I will. Chris just finished Art Direction for the HUE HD web cam. We teamed up with a West Coast 3D modeling company to create the final product. We are very pleased with the results and just wanted to share it with everyone.
I am proud to announce that Carrot Creative will be making the much anticipated move to NYC in March 2008. After a long, arduous search, we have found our NYC home in Brooklyn, specifically the DUMBO area. Check out My Flicker for photos of this stellar space.
