I just got off the phone with Blake Burris of Joyent, in which we discussed application scaling and hosting concerns, and I am thrilled to endorse Joyent for any application deployment needs. After working with Joyent to deploy the MLB.com Facebook Application, we found it necessary to further discuss future collaborations as well as offer support to one another as both Carrot and Joyent figure to be at the forefront of most New Media trends. Be sure to keep your eyes on the lookout for the great meetups that Joyent has planned in NYC, which Carrot will definitely be a part of. Dates will be released soon.

Mike
I know you from Twitter. I’m the Red Sox fan with the dog named Fenway. And I remember you’ve got Matsui.
I’m also in social media/online marketing with a firm called Abraham Harrison. We’re working with our client Lowe Worldwide for one of their clients. They’ve come up with a game on Facebook called Life Changing Box.
It’s sort of like an online hot potato. Whomever wins can get a great prize. A home theater, trips abroad, and, yeah, a trip to Yankee Stadium to the the Yankees play.
For non-New Yorkers, it also is a trip to NYC.
Here’s the site for it:
http://www.lifechangingbox.com/
You’ll have to download the application on Facebook at:
http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=5064&post=16064&uid=14649594242#/apps/application.php?id=14649594242
There’s also a Fan page:

Check out the application. There’s a few more weeks left and there are a ton of prizes left as well. The first winner, Markus Baskerville, of California, won a 32″ Full HD LCD Sharp Aquos TV.
If someone you invite wins, you get the same prize.
Here’s a social media release on it as well, with clues as to what you may win:

Let your friends on Facebook know about this. It increases your chance of winning!
Thanks
