Tasty new Carrot Client: Taste The Tropics
March 5th, 2007
Posted By: Bobby Gaafar

A small store in Brooklyn that provides Caribbean flavored ice cream is ready to go national with the help of Carrot. The unique flavors have made Taste The Tropics a staple in its Brooklyn community, and has caused for an enormous demand for the product. Deciding to go national, Taste The Tropics has called on Carrot to help improve their website before their national launch.
Taste The Tropics will be available to buy online, as well as select grocery stores. We are excited to be working on this project for many reasons, but the biggest reason is because Mike likes to eat all the samples.

We are proud to announce that Susan Nathiel, a wonderful Carrot client, has released Daughters of Madness, an intensely profound book regarding growing up with a mentally ill mother. Susan came to Carrot for help with creating direct mailers to advertise her book. After discussing ideas with Susan, we came up with a postcard mailer that is eye catching and informative. We are sure this is only the beginning, and that Susan will have much success with her book. Congratulations, Susan!

Social Media 2007 Conference
February 27th, 2007
Posted By: Christian Shaboo

Our very own Mike Germano has been selected as a presenter for the Social Media 2007 Conference held in Chicago in April. With a line up of presenters ranging from Southwest Airlines to the Dow Jones & Company, we are excited to showcase the knowledge and expertise that Carrot Web Design has in the social media field.

Mike’s presentation is on Perception Makers — Identifying, Understanding, and Utilizing the Online Consumers That Are Talking About You. Although it will be a lot of work getting ready for this presentation, it is well worth the national recognition we will be receiving. We are very excited to be attending this conference. Good Luck Mike!

VIPTXT.com will launch in Fall of 2007
February 12th, 2007
Posted By: Mike Germano

Carrot was hired to create the identity, unique user interface, and database production for a new product that will be changing the bar and club scene in the near future. VIPTXT.com will provide an easy way for frequent and non-frequent bar and club goers to get the latest information regarding the hot spots and specials for a particular night on the town. By sending a text message to VIPTXT, information on where the hot club or bar is that night and the drink specials will be sent straight to your phone. For the indecisive, this is decision making 101 at its best.

Carrot has recently accepted two interns to assist with office work and graphic design. Matt Furtado, an excellent graphic artist, will be taking on projects to enhance his skills in design as well as get experience in how to communicate with clients. He comes with great talent and we look forward to having him create great websites. Erin Sullivan will be our business administration intern, assisting in office duties and client relations. Her management skills will come in handy in our busy office.

We look forward to having both Matt and Erin share their skills with us, and hope that we can pass along a fun internship experience to them.

PATI Identity
January 8th, 2007
Posted By: Chris Petescia

The Professional Athlete Transition Institute, better known as PATI, is has entrusted Carrot to create their identity logo. PATI is dedicated to developing niche services designed to help elite athletes make the transition into a career. PATI offers the career development, career transition, and education and research to help these athletes begin a new phase in their lives. PATI is currently the sole provider of career development services to the NHL, the NHL Players’ Association, and the NHL Alumni Association. The PATI logo, created by Carrot, embodies the transition of athlete to life after sports in an attention grabbing way. Keeping with the hockey logo basics, we mirrored the NHL shield to get the attention of athletes. The player on the shield shows the transition process, and can easily be changed from a hockey player to a football player, basketball player, and any other athlete. We are very happy with the way the logo turned out and have gotten great feedback from it.
