Just a little promotional piece.
On the third day, of the third month, in the year two thousand and eight, Carrot Creative begins its dominance in the greatest city of the modern world—New York City. Today marks the first day that Carrot’s office in Brooklyn’s DUMBO district is open for business. We will be setting up the office all week, but please stop by 55 Washington Street, Suite 329 to see the magnificent view of both the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge, overlooking the river to the grandest cityscape, we get to look at every day. Can you tell that we are a little excited about this office? But just because we’ve opened a new office, we have not forgotten our roots in Connecticut as our Hamden office is still open for business.
It’s not every day that a man finds a woman, falls in love, and knows he never wants to leave her side.
And she, in return, will always tolerate his late nights at the office and quirky blog postings about a cat. Alright, so maybe this did not happen all in one night, but rather the course of a few years, still we are elated to congratulate Chris Petescia on his engagement to his long time girlfriend Lisa. After deciding that it would be in poor taste to offer an engagement ring logo for his proposal, Chris enlisted the help of Mike to assist in the dispensing of his entire life savings for the perfect ring for his special lady. And while he will not give us the full details of the magical night, one thing is for certain… We need to start planning for a huge bachelor party.
As my first post to the Carrot blog, it is with great pride that I would like to confess my geekdom. I, Kyle MacDonald am a large geek. And as said geek- I love geeky new stuff, and Carrot Blog’s new iPhone + iPod Touch Bookmarklet Icon is no exception.
As of today, our blog now sports its nifty new Bookmarklet Icon when saved as a bookmark on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Don’t worry if you don’t have either of those yet, (which our icon may finally make it worth buying) I will share with you our lovely new addition. Isn’t she shiny?
After weeks of meetings, phone calls and e-mail correspondences, I am proud to announce that Carrot Creative will be working with MLB.com (MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL!) on their social community utility endeavors. Although I can not further elaborate on the specifics of this project, I can say confidently that this baseball season will be greatly enhanced by a new interactive, user-generated presence of MLB.com online. I can barely begin to describe the Carrot Crew’s excitement as we all grew up loving the game of baseball, and still have strong ties to friends, family and each other in part due to our love for the game. With MLB.com, and the variety of other great clients Carrot has had the pleasure of working with, we have found a way to work in what we love (Web 2.0) with clients we truly care about. Thank you all.
When I was a senior at UPenn some of my friends informed me that people do other things than consulting, i-banking, and graduate school after college. As a philosophy undergrad, I had resigned myself to the last of these, but the entrepreneurship thing sounded much more exciting; I have always been very competitive and–ah–persistent.

After the Super Bowl yesterday (congrats, Giants), we were channel surfing for a few minutes and saw that the “Puppy Bowl” was re-playing. However, it was difficult to enjoy as intermittent views of an awful logotype appeared. Apparently, we were seeing Animal Planet’s brand new logo…
Well since Chris doesn’t want to brag about this project I guess I will. Chris just finished Art Direction for the HUE HD web cam. We teamed up with a West Coast 3D modeling company to create the final product. We are very pleased with the results and just wanted to share it with everyone.
