    TTP
Today marks a milestone for a good friend and client of Carrot Creative—Teach The People. TTP has been named one of the top 40 hottest start-ups companies and will be on exhibit this week at the TechCrunch40 Conference in San Francisco. The conference is hosted by TechCrunch and Jason Calacanis and takes place September 17th-18th, 2007.

Jason Beckerman, creator of TTP and good friend of Carrot Creative, will be in pursuit of the $50,000 cash award, along with other services and acknowledgements from an extensive group of corporate sponsors that includes, but is not limited to: Sequoia Capital, Mayfield Fund and AOL. We are so committed to the success of TTP that the Carrot Executive Team, consisting of Mike and Bobby, has joined Jason in San Francisco to further assist in informing the masses on TTP. As for Chris and I, we decided to take this time and further inform you on the identity and method of design for one of our closest clients and greatest accomplishments to date.

When designing for TTP, we wanted to illustrate the power wielded by the user in building the learning experience through shared knowledge and consistent contributions. After all, the elemental concept to teaching is that it is a collaboration of minds, both on a superficial and in-depth level, in the process to better understanding the world. And at its base function, TTP is a multi-level project where the user can determine his/her own involvement level yet still remain integral to the success of the collective experience. Thus, it was also imperative for us to distinguish TTP as a fundamental function in serving the greater good of education in an interactive digital world. As you can see by the logo shown below, three anonymous people share their thoughts to form a symbol of power (the act of teaching) with the atom (the foundation unit of life). This icon of sharing is the structure for the TTP.
