Prior to joining Carrot, I spent a year and half working for a traditional ad agency in Manhattan. It was a valuable experience, but I wasn’t having a whole lot of fun and I began to feel restless. I was working on a pharmaceutical account for which we created TV and print ads exclusively. Social media wasn’t part of the equation. I became bored and began the tedious process of finding a new job. I interviewed at a number of agencies in New York as well as San Francisco, but none of them felt quite right until I discovered Carrot.
At Carrot I found the perfect balance of insanely awesome work and an amazing environment. Carrot’s portfolio speaks for itself, but what makes this place truly special is the people that work here and the attitude and camaraderie at the office everyday. When you can come to work and be yourself, it makes a world of difference.
I’ve only been here three weeks, but I already feel right at home.
Mike reminds me daily that we’re the best in the world at what we do. At first glance, it’s almost hard to believe him. I mean, how can we be the best when a portion of our small office is dedicated to a room called “College,” where no work is allowed, but watching TV and playing Nintendo are encouraged? How can we be the best when, every Friday, we take time out of the day to watch R. Kelly music videos? The answer – we work even harder than we play. Despite all the fun and shenanigans, at the end of the day, we’re responsible for best work in the industry and we all take great pride in that.
I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this family.
